Known problems: None so far Q & A Q1. I download and install the game. I click on Deal button. There are four cards show up, I do not know what to do next. A1. The best way to learn how to play this game is to click on Help, then choose Example 1, or Example 2, then follow the instruction to learn the game interactively. When the instruction tell you to click on a card, click it on the card in the game window. Practice on both examples, because they show two different math sequences that can be used in the game. Q2. The game does not act like a calculator. When I got numbers 2, 8, 4, 2, and I clicked on number and math symbols in following sequence: 2x8+2x4, I got 72 not 24. What is going on here? A2. You are right that the game does not act like a calculator, because the original game is played with real cards and real brains, no calculator involved or allowed. In such a setting, if you take two cards, you have to spell out the math symbol you are using and the result. So when you clicked on the numbers and math symbols in the above sequence, you were doing ((2x8)+2)x4 = 72. To get 24 with 2, 8, 4, and 2, you need to click on 2, x, 8. Now you will see 16 in Catch 1. Then you click on 2, x, 4. Now you see 8 in Catch 2. Then you click on Catch 1, +, Catch 2. Finally, you see 24 in Catch 3. Here you use Catch 1 and Catch 2 as parentheses to define the sequence of calculation, so that you have (2x8)+(2x4) = 24! For more information on how to use Catch 1 and Catch 2 as parentheses to define math sequence, try Example 2 in Help menu. Q3. There are no parentheses in the game. When I get numbers 9, 6, 10, 2, I want to do (9-6)x(10-2) = 24. I cannot do it. A3. This question is related to the above question. The Catch 1 and Catch 2 should be used as parentheses. Practice on Example 2 in Help menu to see how it works.
